Chester Town Hall Wedding – Lorraine and Shandy
Lorraine and Shandy wanted a candid documentary photographer to shoot their Chester Town Hall Wedding in February this year. Before we started I was unsure what the weather was going to be like. This was in light of the forecast and the showers that we’d had early in the morning. In spite of this, the weather which had been pretty dismal early on quickly improved in time for Lorraine & Shandy’s lovely wedding ceremony at the stunning Chester Town Hall.

Firstly we started at the stylist, it was a very chilled and relaxed morning. Lorraine and her friends had their hair and make-up done with a few glasses of fizz along the way. Followed by a brief stroll up to Oddfellows were Lorraine and the bridesmaids got ready. The ceremony followed next at the incredibly splendid Town Hall chambers in Chester.
Thereafter it was on to one of Chester’s favorite long-standing independent restaurants Moules a go-go for some spectacular food and then the speaches. Lorraine and Shandy along with their friends and guest had a great time.
A little later Lorraine and Shandy headed over to Telfords warehouse. A lovely atmospheric and intimate venue where they had their evening reception. It was at this point that the heavens opened with the largest hailstone I have ever seen (the size of tangerines). Undoubtedly it had been four seasons in one day. But luckily for most of the day following the ceremony it had remained largely dry. Safely inside The first dance was to David Bowie’s Modern Love. Lorraine and Shandy’s guests then followed suit onto the dance floor after the first dance and had a great time.
